24-Hour Brooklyn Hackathon
More than 25 students from across the Borough of Brooklyn joined together on December 12th at the Nigerian American Muslim Integrated Community Center. They were on hand to identify community problems and then build a prototype of an App to function as the solution of those problems. As Optimum Community's Neighborhood Journal found out, this technologically based event was put together through the efforts of State Senator Jesse Hamilton in coordination with Blue1647, with the ultimate goal of providing education, training and employment in the field of coding.
