First Robotics Long Island Competition

The First Robotics regional competition on Long Island asked students of more than 50 schools to create robots that could take on a specific challenge and then pit their mechanical dynamos against each other in the ring. It's an event that Neighborhood Journal's Shawna Ryan says feels like an NCAA championship game, looks like something from the Jetsons, and can propel these bright students into careers in technology and engineering.
